Says Arbaaz, "Every week we've someone or the other claiming to be the original composer-singers of 'Munni Badnaam'. I can understand the eagerness to make a claim over something as successful as this song. The truth of the matter is, the original version of 'Munni Badnaam' ('Launda Badnaam') is a paaramparik (traditional) song. It therefore belongs to no one and everyone."

Arbaaz further explains, "When someone comes to me with a script, I don't ask him where it came from, its origins, is it taken from a Hollywood films, etc etc. I presume it is original and that there will be no copyright issues. Similarly with a song, the composer (Lalit Pandit) played 'Munni Badnaam' for me. I liked it. I reserved it for my film. End of matter."

However, on humanitarian grounds, Arbaaz is willing to provide a token amount of money to Razia Beghum's family. "I understand where they come from. I understand how much the money would mean to them. Although legally we don't owe them any money, on humanitarian grounds because they've a link with the song, I'm willing to offer them a token amount. They can come to me next month after the New Year's and I'll hand over the cheque to them."

Arbaaz is clearly unhappy with Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari's involvement with the matter. "He first objected to my tweeting on Ashmit Patel asking my followers on Twitter to vote for Ashmit. Why not? He is my friend. And if I've a platform to support him, why shouldn't I? And by the way I also tweeted for Seema Parihar. But she was evicted. So it's not as if the voting pattern is influenced by my tweets."

Arbaaz is exasperated by Tiwari's attempts to get singers compensated for 'Munni Badnaam'. "He first said Tarabano Faizabadi should be given money. He then said Razia Beghum. Why should I give money on his say-so? We have a heart and we in this family know how to be charitable."

Well from now onwards, I have realized it is useless and pointless to say the event and its pictures suck. Most events and the glamorous celebrities and rich guests look blah with all that designer shit on them. Anyway, this was yet another happening party in B-town.

I have no idea who he is, but that is the birthday boy Jacky Bhagnani

Ashish Choudhary (the guy who is cute but always looks dumb) with his wife

Zayed Khan was inspired by Mithun perhaps that day.

Sophie getting out of the car in a much better way than what we saw Yana Gupta doing a few days ago. Sophie has a long face and a curvacious body but she is a friendly celebrity.

Genelia D'Souza wearing very cheap leather pants it is almost disturbing.

Oh yes, that is an insured Brazilian ass of a girl, Minissha Lamba.

Fardeen Khan and wife Natasha. Fardeen always seems to be the most decent and beautiful guy in his entire khandaan.

Riteish Deshmukh is now a poet it seems...an unpublished and unsuccessful one it seems.

Diya Mirza
Alpita Khan
Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan

Sometimes Malaika doesn't look that hot also.

Esha Deol made her entry with a mystery man. Media couldn't find out any details.

Celebrating with Salman on this birthday trip, apart from his family, are lots of friends, including Sajid Nadiadwala and David Dhawan.

Today, of course, the birthday boy was flooded with starry wishes via Twitter

Brother Arbaaz posted: "Happy birthday Salman bhai. Have a great day and a Dabangg year ahead. We all love you :)"

Salman’s ‘Dabangg’ co-star Sonakshi Sinha tweeted: “Chulbul Pandey/ robinhood pandey/ Salman Khan ko janamdin ki shubhkamnayein! pretty sure he is bringing the house down in dubai!!”

Preity Zinta: “Hey Salman, wish u a very happy birthday & may all things wonderful big & small always come ur way ! Lotza love always :-)”

Amrita Arora posted: “Happpppy b'day Salman Bhai..hope u have a superrrr year....”

Riteish Deshmukh posted: “Wishing Salman Khan very happy birthday.” Genelia D’Souza also wished Salman, retweeting Riteish's message.

Recently, Ranbir Kapoor was approached by Arbaaz Khan to play the role of Akbar in the remake of Amar, Akbar, Anthony. However, it was noted that Ranbir did not want to take Akbar's role or in short play the role that his father played once.

Arbaaz Khan is planning to re-make the hit classic blockbuster with the main lead done by his brother Salman Khan.

However, Ranbir did show interest in playing the role of Anthony. Well, Ranbir always has some issues playing challenging roles with good actors. He is pretty happy playing roles where only he outshines everyone else. Or perhaps he just doesn't want to do anything similar to his father's performances although Akbar's role was quite an entertaining role. Also since he is quite tall and broad, he feels he would do more justice to Anthony's role.

I think in today's times...the character's to be taken for the re-make should be:

Amar... Akshaye Khanna / Arjun Rampal
Akbar....Imran Khan/ Akshay Oberoi
Anthony....Akshay Kumar / Salman Khan

The song made her so popular, thanks to the Zandu Balm lyrics, that Malaika was immediately made the ambassador of the brand and got her hands full, shooting for its ads.

Now what’s disappointing for Malaika is that due to these shootings she didn’t get chance to celebrate her 12th wedding anniversary with Arbaaz Khan, also the producer of ‘Dabangg’. She rued, "I was shooting for the commercials of Zandu balm in three different languages during my wedding anniversary. We shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi over a period of three days."
